Health and Safety Update

Hello DTC Families,

On July 13, 2020 the State Public Health Office announced that San Diego County is on the “County Monitoring List” and will mandate closures of indoor operations in certain sectors. We want to assure our families that our clinics remain OPEN and we are continuing to serve our families with in-clinic and telehealth sessions.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Developmental Therapy Center (DTC) still open?

Yes, DTC will continue to remain open as we know services are critical to our clients.

Why is Developmental Therapy Center (DTC) still open, when most schools are closed?

Since we are a healthcare service provider, public health officials are not recommending closures when cases of COVID-19 have not been identified in the organization.

Is Developmental Therapy Center (DTC) still providing services for San Diego Regional Center clients?

Yes, DTC will continue to remain open as we know services are critical to our clients.

What if we need to cancel sessions due to illness?

We do still ask for 24-hour notice. Please call our offices if you need to cancel any session(s) due to illness or exposure to the virus, so that we can reschedule your sessions.

What is Developmental Therapy Center (DTC) current cleaning procedures?

We will continue to be proactive in our daily approach keeping our gyms and speech rooms disinfected, sanitized and clean after every session. We have also ramped up our cleaning and sanitizing of all toys and books as well as any hard surfaces, including door handles, counters, desks, etc.

What is Developmental Therapy Center (DTC) staff doing to stay healthy?

We have provided our staff with preventative measures to stay healthy and avoid any unnecessary contact.
